Brendan Molloy, Director
Brendan has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 1980. He has worked in manufacturing companies most of his professional career. For the last five years he has operated as an independent consultant for small businesses but has recently specialised in the recovery of tax, undertaking research & development. He has worked for numerous manufacturing companies in a top financial position covering a wide selection of different manufacturing sectors from cars to coated metal tubes.
Mick Keyse, Director
Michael has over 30 years experience working in manufacturing companies across a wide variety of sectors including Construction Materials, Rubber and plastics, Electronics and Food. Whilst operating at executive level in Operations, Logistics and Manufacturing management, he has had direct responsibility for Information technology and in particular, business systems development. He has both project managed and overseen a number of tier 1 ERP implementations working with both SAP and Oracle.
Matt Timby FCCA, Finance Director
Matt has 20 years experience of tax (corporate and personal), accounts preparation and business advice, covering all aspects of issues faced by SME companies. Matt has worked in accountancy practices of all sizes, from large national firms to small one-partner and family based practices. These were mainly firms based in and around the city of Nottingham. He gained his Chartered Certified qualification within an accountancy top 10 national firm; a solid training ground.
Ryan Sian BA (Hons) ACCA, Business Development Director
Ryan is a part-qualified Chartered Accountant and will be fully certified after his final exam later in 2017. After graduating with a degree in Economics, Finance & Banking, Ryan joined randd uk in 2012 and has developed extensive experience in compiling R&D tax credit claims. Ryan has direct involvement with the accounts and tax production and is a pivotal member of the team, managing a rapidly growing, diverse portfolio of clients and acquiring specialist knowledge in both SME and RDEC tax schemes.
Mathias Crespy, Commercial Director
Mathias has a strong engineering background having worked for over seven years in R&D roles as an Engineer, Work Package Leader and Project Manager. Mathias occupied these roles in France, India, Denmark and England while working in the oceanography, water treatment, energy and information technology sectors. Mathias then moved into the tax consultancy sector where his breadth of technical and managerial experience is used to support highly innovative R&D businesses in accessing the necessary funding, via the R&D tax credits schemes in place in the UK, so they have the financial capabilities to grow and develop products aiming to revolutionise the world of tomorrow.
Adam Bointon PhD, Operations Director
Adam has been working as an R&D Tax Credits Specialist since 2009, helping SMEs in both manufacturing and software sectors identify research and development activities within their business, and converting highly technical information into reports that the layman can read. As a recipient of two academic scholarships from the Economic and Social Research Council and the Manchester School journal, Adam graduated from the University of Manchester with a PhD in Economics, writing a thesis on European monetary union. Adam has been able to use his knowledge of the economy, statistical models and finance with his keen interest in technology, science and engineering, to transfer his skills to helping companies maximise their R&D Tax Credits.
R&D Tax Consultants
Kerry has worked in accounts departments for industrial and leisure companies and in accountancy practices for the last 17 years. She has gained valuable experience in taxation and accounts preparation for a wide variety of businesses. Kerry qualified with The Association of Accounting Technicians in 2000, becoming a member in 2003, and The Association of Taxation Technicians in 2007.
Having recently completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry at sixth form, Simran is now keen to progress with a career within accountancy. Simran is working at randd uk in order to increase exposure to different areas of not just accountancy and tax, but also being more involved within the processes of industry. Simran is currently studying towards the AAT qualification of levels 3 & 4, and having a future prospectus of completing studies, in order to become a fully qualified chartered accountant.
Lewis joined randd uk in 2015. Originally starting out with assisting in the key analysis of financial data, Lewis now plays a key role in the tax production side of the R&D claims. During his three years at randd uk, Lewis has developed extensive experience in compiling R&D tax credit claims for our clients. Lewis became a member of AAT earlier this year and is now looking to progress onto further studies with ACCA to strengthen his accounting and taxation knowledge.
Having graduated with a degree in Accounting & Finance, Jas joined randd uk in 2017 and has quickly become a well-integrated part of the team. Jas is currently completing her ACCA qualifications and working towards becoming a fully Chartered Accountant. Jas is driven and keen to further develop her financial and accounting skills at randd uk, as well as gain invaluable experience into an array of different areas, especially taxation and R&D tax schemes. Jas has gained great exposure to both industry and practice processes, which has allowed her to grow and work with a diverging range of clients.
Brandon recently joined randd uk after completing his A-levels which include Business and Mathematics. With these A-levels, Brandon wanted to further his studies and felt like randd uk would be the perfect place for him to build a career in Accountancy. Brandon is currently studying towards AAT Level 3 and wants to strive even further with the goal of becoming a fully qualified chartered Accountant.

Phil’s diverse range of skills from corporate management to journalism are ideally suited to the tasks of identifying R&D activity within manufacturing businesses as well as recording such findings skilfully into the written word. Phil has been a General and Commercial Manager with over 30 year’s senior experience within large multinational and small & medium enterprises. He has also worked in football, journalism, both written and spoken, and the third sector, including education. He is also a non-Executive Director of a social housing organisation and a former Director of Chesterfield Football Club.
Patrick is a technology expert experienced in maximising benefits of R&D Tax Credits funding claims and outcomes for the company. He also provides support of research commercialisation and has helped others improve their business’ performance through technology adoption; primarily in the creation of new or developed products, processes and related services. Patrick is a Chartered Engineer through the Institute of Engineering Designers and has an MSc in Global Product Development Management.
With over thirty years’ experience in R&D and Innovation, Mike is well placed to support clients in identifying activities eligible for R&D Tax Credits. He has held senior executive positions in global engineering firms in the power generation, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors. He has a strong record of technology development, problem solving and new product introduction, and is experienced in a wide range of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, coating, machining and heat treatment. Mike has a BSc(Hons) in Materials Science, and holds 97 patents.
Stan is experienced predominantly in the high-value manufacturing sectors of aerospace, motorsport, oil and gas, nuclear and medical. He specialises in business planning and technology strategy planning and exploitation, often working with SMEs, Primes, Tier 1s and research organisations. His previous business experience includes Managing Director positions in Meggitt plc, with responsibilities for both UK and US subsidiaries. A former RAF Engineering Officer, Stan is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer with a BSc in Engineering.
Paul has extensive experience in General Management and Business Analysis over a 27-year career with Bayer, Lloyds and GE, operating at Senior Client level to drive-out cost and improve business efficiencies. Fully complementing randd’s R&D activities, over the last two years as a Cost Management Consultant, Paul has helped engineering and manufacturing organisations achieve significant and sustainable cost savings across some 100+ business cost areas. These include Communications, Sustainable Energy Management and General Business Costs.
Roy is a Chartered Scientist through the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining with 20 years experience in process engineering, specialising in materials science. He has subsequently project managed a number of strategic, technical projects on behalf of Universities and research organisations, specifically involving knowledge transfer to SMEs. More recently, Roy has focussed on becoming an R&D Tax Credits Specialist and supporting companies to maximise their R&D Tax Credits claims, where his extensive industrial processing and materials experience, together with his understanding of the needs of SMEs have proven invaluable.
Ian has extensive experience of senior management positions within the manufacturing industry, where he concentrated on new markets and new product development. This background has enabled Ian to clearly identify and report on research and development projects across diverse commercial and manufacturing sectors as an R&D Consultant.
Peter is an experienced Marketing Consultant with a professional network spanning the UK. As a longstanding member of the randd uk team, Peter has extensive knowledge of the R&D tax credits scheme and is well placed to recognise & reward businesses for innovation.

With over twenty years of experience in office administration, Angela has acquired management, organisational and technical skills through previous roles at established companies such as The University of Derby, Wincanton and Havelock Europa. Well equipped to tackle the challenges in her fast paced role at randd uk, Angela liaises with professionals at all levels, coordinates work management flows and undertakes many other skilled duties.
Having worked in the Banking and Mortgage Sector for 15 years, Andrea has recently joined randd uk to progress her career within Accountancy. Andrea is very driven and keen to build on her knowledge and experience and further develop her career.
Vanessa brings to randd uk nearly 20 years of office administrative experience. She supports all the office staff and assists in turning raw data into useful information. Vanessa originally started out in the catering industry, being a qualified chef! In 1997 though, tired of the long and family-unfriendly hours in the kitchens, she changed career paths and joined the office of a company specialising in mail order where she remained before coming to randd uk. Vanessa has a young family and so works with us part-time, making sure she has time to fit the school runs in at the start and end of each day.
Marie comes from a retail and banking background, spanning over 20 years, with 15 of those years as a retail manager managing a team of 15 between two locations as a multi site manager, mainly working for the Arcadia Group. The past five years, Marie was working for Nationwide Building Society in an administrative role.
