Derby-based R&D tax credits experts raise money for charity

R&D tax credits experts, randd uk are celebrating their tenth anniversary in July. Based in Derby, the company have rewarded businesses in the Midlands and across the UK for innovation. To mark this occasion, randd uk aim to reward the local community as well as local businesses through raising money for charity. On the 5th July, three brave employees will be jumping from a plane in a Nottingham skydive; randd uk volunteers will be running a 10K race; and RANDD Pale Ale will be on sale in pubs and venues across Derby town centre throughout June. This is all leading up to presenting the money to charity at a business fundraising event at the Old Bell, Derby on the 12th July.

“We’re proud to have helped UK businesses of all sizes over the past 10 years. R&D tax credits make a huge difference to our clients as well as the UK economy.”

Brendan Molloy, Director at randd uk

So what are randd uk doing to celebrate?

Skydive

On Thursday 6th July at 12pm, the company is covering the cost to push three employees out of a plane. Why?! So that all of the money raised can go directly to charity. Sam Warburton, Sim Aietan and Jas Heer will be flying 12,000 – 13,000 ft above Nottingham, freefalling for a minute and then parachuting down to safety… this is the plan, anyway.

10k Run

At 10am on Saturday 16th June, randd uk volunteers will be running the 2018 Wollaton Park 10K race sponsored by Sytner Mini. Wollaton Hall is the backdrop to the race, a tudor building set in over 500 acres of historic deer park.

RANDD real ale

Fancy a pint? randd uk have teamed up with Chantry Brewery to create a special 10th anniversary real ale. We’re encouraging venues across Derby town centre to stock the one-off beer, which is available in casks holding 72 pints. 10p per pint in a cask goes to charity for every sale made. Chantry Brewery is an award-winning micro-brewery based in South Yorkshire.

To stock RANDD Pale Ale, Sam Warburton will be taking orders throughout April and May. The beer will be available in Derby venues from the first week in July.

Don’t miss out on this special celebration which includes a bar, buffet, raffle, giveaways, charity fundraising presentation and a talk about what we do best – R&D tax credits.

“We’ve expanded rapidly in recent years with more staff, a bigger office, new branding and a larger marketing presence. We aim to continue this growth for more years to come.”
